Citi, HSBC, and Standard Chartered have partnered with Ant International to adopt its Falcon Time-Series Transformer Model 2.0, a financial AI tool designed to manage liquidity risks. The Singapore-based fintech giant rolled out the upgraded model on Thursday, with six major banks including Citi, HSBC, and Standard Chartered signing up for the platform.
According to Kelvin Li, Ant International's general manager of platform tech, the model specialises in financial scenarios and has an edge over general-purpose large models. The tool's precision forecasting capabilities can slash foreign exchange hedging and allocation costs by over 60%.
The adoption of AI-powered tools like Ant International's Falcon model is accelerating globally, as financial institutions seek to embed specialised AI into their core operations. With its upgraded model, Ant International is poised to play a significant role in this trend.
