Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has joined Project Glasswing, an invite-only cybersecurity initiative by Anthropic. The program utilizes Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5 AI model to scan code for security flaws and report them to maintainers.
Project Overview
Payward's participation in Project Glasswing marks a significant expansion of the initiative, which has already flagged over 10,000 high or critical-severity flaws across participating organizations. The program launched on April 7, 2026, and has since grown to include nearly 150 organizations, including AWS, Apple, and Tenable.
Security Benefits
Payward's security team plans to use the AI model for internal code review and to report discovered vulnerabilities to software maintainers. This collaboration aims to strengthen the security of Kraken's ecosystem, which relies on open-source libraries, third-party integrations, and shared infrastructure.
Vetting Process
The invite-only structure of Project Glasswing ensures that Anthropic's advanced AI model is used for remediation, not exploitation. Every participant undergoes a vetting process before gaining access to the model.
