H2O America has received state and federal regulatory approvals to acquire all assets owned by Quadvest, a regulated water and wastewater utility operating in the Houston metro area. The acquisition will expand H2O America's presence in Texas and the Houston area. Quadvest has operated as a water and wastewater utility company serving residential and commercial customers in the Greater Houston area for over four decades. According to Andrew F. Walters, chief executive officer of H2O America, 'we are pleased to have received the regulatory approvals necessary to move forward with this acquisition'. H2O America provides water service to over 1.6 million people through its water utilities in California, Connecticut, Maine, and Texas. The company received the necessary approvals from the Public Utility Commission of Texas and satisfied requirements under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
