Printr, a cross-chain token launchpad, has announced it will cease all operations by August 31, 2026. The platform had burned through $4.5 million in funding before pulling the plug. As a result, its planned token generation event and airdrop have been canceled, leaving users who accumulated points worthless.
Background
Printr had raised $4.5 million across two rounds and had positioned itself as an 'every chain' launchpad, leveraging cross-chain infrastructure from Axelar and LayerZero. The platform offered features like customizable fee structures and a novel 'Proof of Belief' staking mechanism.
The wind-down process is already underway, with automatic unstaking of user positions beginning on August 18. Staking has been paused, and the platform's app interface will go dark after August 31. Users with assets still on Printr have until August 31 to ensure everything is withdrawn.
Impact
Tokens that were previously launched through Printr will continue to exist as independent on-chain assets on their respective blockchains. However, the Printr interface for trading and managing those tokens won't be accessible anymore, meaning holders will need to interact with them through other DEXs or directly on-chain.
