Trump Media & Technology Group has launched its Truth API, a paid data service providing institutional customers with rapid, machine-readable access to posts from influential Truth Social accounts, including U.S. President Donald Trump's account. The launch occurred on August 1, with the company describing the service as its first data-licensing product.
Key Features
The Truth API feed provides posts through a low-latency connection designed for high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms, offering continuous coverage, delivery within milliseconds, and a searchable archive dating back to 2022.
SEC Scrutiny
The launch has drawn scrutiny from the SEC, with senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren requesting an investigation into whether the feed violates federal securities law or weakens market fairness. Trump Media has rejected the senators' argument, stating that they have created a new insider-trading theory based on publicly available information.
Revenue Expectations
The company expects the Truth API to become an ongoing, high-margin revenue source, although it has not published an official price list. Reported estimates place subscriptions between $60,000 and $100,000 per month.
