What is MegaETH (MEGA)?

MegaETH is a Layer-2 scaling solution designed to enhance Ethereum’s throughput and reduce latency. By offloading transaction processing from the Ethereum mainnet, it enables a high-performance environment suitable for real-time applications, including decentralized trading and interactive gaming, while retaining Ethereum’s core security.

How does it work?

MegaETH operates as an execution layer. Transactions are processed and ordered by a sequencer, ensuring near-instant confirmation. These transactions are subsequently batched and committed to the Ethereum mainnet for final settlement.

The network utilizes the OP Stack for its foundational architecture and integrates the Kailua proof system, which allows for robust verification and dispute resolution on the Ethereum base layer.

What makes it unique?

  • EVM Compatibility: MegaETH is fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing developers to port existing dApps without code changes.
  • Performance Focus: It prioritizes massive scalability to handle high-frequency interactions.
